Starting a CPCUG Special Interest Group (SIG)
Thinking of starting a CPCUG SIG?
Learn about resources available for SIGs.
Here's the streamlined version of starting a SIG:
- Hold an organizational meeting
- Define the purpose of the group
- Designate a proposed chair (a CPCUG member)
- Notify the CPCUG First Vice President or President of intent to form a SIG and provide organizational information
- Attend a meeting of the CPCUG Board of Directors--the BOD approves provisional SIG status
- Hold two additional group meetings and file short reports with the First Vice President or President
- Attend another BOD meeting at which the Board approves permanent SIG status
