About CPCUG |
Director of Corporate Communications
Facilitate information dissemination about CPCUG--its meetings, membership benefits, training program, community service, and volunteer opportunities--among Executive Committee members, Appointed Directors, Special Interest Group leaders, general members, prospective members, and the community.
The Director of Corporate Communications shall—
- Using information provided by appropriate CPCUG Board and/or staff members, be responsible for coordinating the posting of weekly information summaries of upcoming CPCUG general meetings, SIG meetings, classes, and seminars on electronic media such as CPCUG's electronic bulletin board and appropriate Internet newsgroups.
- Be responsible for coordinating the compilation of SIG reports for the CPCUG magazine from information supplied by SIG Chairs.
- Work with the Executive Committee and other Board Members to develop methodologies for the timely updating of printed and electronic information about CPCUG activities, benefits, and leadership.
- Work with the Public Relations Director, Membership Director, and Training Director to develop strategies for using electronic public forums and other media in new ways to complement and enhance existing CPCUG communication, public relation, and member recruiting activities.
- Work with the Membership Director in his or her efforts to develop a coordinated member recruiting program, a new member package, and a program to maintain or increase the rate of membership renewal.
- Work with the First Vice President and designated SIG leaders to develop information materials describing the creation and operation of successful SIGs.
- Be responsible for providing review and editorial support, if needed, to the President, Director of Volunteers, Education Director, and Public Relations Director should activities requiring grant proposal development be planned.
- In conjunction with other Board Members, provide input on the options for and advantages and disadvantages of publishing additional CPCUG materials on the Internet.
